Project Chandelier

Our guest room is lovely. But as I mentioned in my PARA Paints #ParaBlogCrew application video, the one thing our guest room lacked was attractive lighting. My mom gave us this chandelier, which came out of her former dressing room before a renovation, but I never really loved the brushed nickel.

So I pulled out a can of gold spray paint and got to work:)

I swapped out the old tube thingys (seriously, do they have a name?) to fresh white ones, installed new bulbs and added a light teal ribbon to the trim of some linen shades I found at Lowe’s (only $3 each!) with my glue gun.

And finally, respecting the power of electricity completely I basically shut down the entire house and installed the chandelier. Doesn’t it look so lovely!? I love it.

I just tried painting a chandelier for Halloween and it was a nightmare. So next time I am just going to get you to do it for me. :)
