So many reasons to be #ThankFALL
Both DH and I are blessed with wonderful friends, his, mine, and ours. And while Thanksgiving is always a busy time of year for us, we are so very #ThankFALL to be spending part of our Thanksgiving weekend with people who are near and dear to our hearts: my BFF, her handsome hubby, and their three perfectly awesome kids. I am lucky enough to be their fairy god-mother. A role I cherish. Now, I’m not sure the Catholic Church includes the ‘fairy’ part, but…I digress. Regardless, the kids call me ‘Ciocia’, which is Polish for Aunt:) (pronounced cho-cha).
It’s also a role I take very seriously. I am always looking for ways to expand their minds, like introducing them to the Walter the Farting Dog books, or Captain Underpants series. Helping kids learn words like fart, boogie, and wedgie I see as a core function of my fairy god-mothering.

Wanting ensure our house was guest ready, I headed to Target for some essentials. I picked up some of my favourite sheets from their THRESHOLD line. These sheets are simply the best. Why? Because they have an extra elastic bit to ensure your sheets actually stay on the bed. I love this feature. As a tosser and turner, I hate waking up with my face squished right into the mattress with the sheet all balled up somewhere around my knees.
I also grabbed some new napkins and a tablecloth to make the table a bit more ‘harvest’, but not so seasonal I can’t use them other times of the year too. It will look so pretty with our Witchy centrepiece too!
And guess what else I managed to sneak home for little old me? This fabulous mirrored frame and pretty gold bird jewellery stand, which looks so pretty with the giraffe ones I made last year.
I am planning on using the frame in my new DIY Diva Den – more to come on that project later:)
I can’t wait to wrap my arms around each of the little ones, and clink glasses with our wonderful friends over a nice meal this Thanksgiving. We are so #ThankFALL for their friendship. What are you #ThankFALL for this year?
