Easy Easter Decorations
I love my Nana. She’s been watching over me for almost 16 years now, and some of her things are now my favourite things. Like her teacups. Nana was an avid bridge player. Her bridge group were a raucous group of women, but they pretended to be civilized by drinking their tea out of pretty teacups.
Those teacups are now among my most prized possessions. I use them to serve desserts, display flowers, and of course drink tea (or coffee).
Yesterday I decided to incorporate some of the brighter cups and saucers into the Easter decorations for the table.
I got some colourful eggs, birds, and butterflies at the dollar store. I pulled out some rafia from my gift wrapping supplies, and in just a few minutes had this.
In the centre is actually a cheese server, but I thought it looked super cute with a nice little nest inside it. I got it at a garage sale a few years ago for a dollar. I love garage sales.
Since I had some leftover eggs and lots of rafia, I filled up some glassware and a vase to spread the Easter pretty-ness around the house. It definitely isn’t as pretty as the teacups, but works and still makes me happy to look at. Which is really all that matters in decorating, right?
