Travel wardrobe
I am experiencing crazy jet lag for the first time in my life. I know who I am, I know where I am, I just don’t quite get WHEN I am just yet. Totally worth it though! Tokyo was fantastic. An amazing city filled with so much to see. I am in awe of the Japanese culture. I ate the most fantastic meals and visited some incredible locations. I’ll share more on all that soon, but first we need to talk about clothes.
What do you pack for a week of business travel while simultaneously ensuring you are exploration ready at the same time? This.
I not only packed incredibly lightly, I had more than enough clothes for the entire trip. I am prone to changing my mind (I am a woman after all), so I need to ensure I have enough variability in the clothes I pack. How I do this while still packing lightly is by making sure everything is mix n match or themed, or both.
I’ve been a little obsessed with dresses and tights lately. This may be a mild understatement. In terms of packing, dresses offer a space saving outfit solution which worked in my favour.
I’ve listed out the outfits at the end of the post. One thing you’ll notice is all the . I freakin’ love Joe Fresh! Seriously. It is a rare day that I don’t have at least one Joe Fresh item on. In addition to always fitting me well, having consistent sizing, great accessories, and fantastic prices, I love ! This may sound totally lame, but I love that if you include the #FreshStyle hashtag in your pics (the ones where you’re wearing Joe Fresh…OBVI!) they like your photo. This is a small thing really, but I like it when brands ‘get it’ and Joe Fresh gets it.
On my last day there I filled the entire morning up with touring around Tokyo. My outfit needed to be comfortable for touring, but I also planned to wear it on the plane…for a 13 hour flight. Enter . An entire outfit (excluding belt and necklace) of Joe Fresh.
More to come on the amazing food and some of the sights I saw. But for now, I’m glad to be home.
1. Calvin Klein blouse, Joe Fresh pants, Ralph Lauren riding boots. Vintage yellow beads & J Crew necklace.
2. BCBG Dress, Joe Fresh flats.
3. Joe Fresh Dress and Joe Fresh flats.
4. H&M Dress and Joe Fresh boots.
5. LOFT dress and Nine West heels.
Hi Heather;
You look great in Joe Fresh. What do you think of them signing a deal with JC Penny? Are they still going to be available in Canada?
I love it! I think it's a great Canadian brand and am pleased to see them expand:) I participated in a fun Twitter party last week with Joe Fresh, JC Penny and also Nina Garcia - it was a great mix!
