My name is Heather.

I like heels, dressing up, sweatpants, my rubber boots, getting my hair done, doing DIY projects, cooking, eating, taking photos, and painting. I am woman of many talents and interests. This list doesn’t even begin to cover it. This blog may, it may not. I think of my barbecue as an extension of my kitchen. Note the MY.

By day I work in Public Relations.

I have lots of opinions. I have a bit of a potty mouth, but am trying to curb that by substituting in other words. Truly though, sometimes those words don’t cut it. My DH and I have two dogs. They are the handsomest, sweetest, most adorable dogs on planet earth. This is fact.

We live in the country, but I grew up ‘in the city’. Our home is was built in 1898. I wish the walls could talk. I have a fondness for found objects and making them my own. I enjoy using power tools. This sometimes scares my DH. I find this funny. I read lots of books. I am attempting to write some myself. I have a mild obsession with dishes. I sing very loudly in the car, and really don’t care if anyone is watching. I love music. I love dancing to music, even if it’s only in my head. My favourite food is the potato. Any way you can slice it, dice, it, boil it, bake it, fry it, mash it, you name it, I love it. I am Irish and Polish, I am guessing it’s in my blood. That’s a bit about me. There is a whole lot more. As I’ve recently come to appreciate, life really is about the journey and not the destination. I intend to savour every step along the way, one fabulous step at a time.
