Bathroom Mirror Update
Remember the fabulous mirror I found on the side of the road last weekend?
I knew as soon as I found it I had found my bathroom mirror, so I couldn’t wait to get going. I finally found the time today, and I’m super pleased.
This is the bathroom the way it was before I swapped the mirror out. I love the old claw foot tub with its gold claws, and of course the original 1898 hardwood floors.
I sanded it down well, put some paper and tape over the mirror, and then spray painted the heck out of it. I lost count, but I am guessing it was 6 or 7 coats.
It’s up in the bathroom now and I LOVE it. Love it. And once I find the perfect old dresser to turn into a sink, it will be complete.
Oh, I love claw foot tubs! Great job on the mirror! Love the pics of your house. You have such a beautiful home!
Thanks Christine:)! The house is a work in progress, but I love all the potential and seeing the rewards along the way:)
Your mirror turned out just lovely...Great DIY...
Thanks so much Judy! I'm pleased as punch with how it turned out.
That's lovely! The perfect size and a non-boring shape, what a great find. :)
thanks Lisa! I was so pleased to find it:) and you're right - the size is great - with the bathroom being rather long, the wider mirror (vs the old one) seems to add 'room' to the room:)
nice find!
thanks Kelli! I love finding surprises in other peoples' trash:) LOL
Looks great! That mirror looks perfect there. Can't believe you found it at the side of the road!
LOL! so true! just proves one man's trash is another's treasure:)! thanks so much for reading Dani:)
