It’s easy being green in 2017
One of my all time favourite colours from the Crayola marker set is ‘Kelly Green’. This colour is such a happy colour. My Nana, a proud Irish lady, had many outfits made entirely of this colour: top, skirt, sweater, shoes, jewels, the whole enchilada.
And just like when I liked Alanis Morissette before anyone else, I nailed this trend early too. Did you know Pantone declared this colour, well not Kelly Green exactly…but a super close sister colour “Greenery” as the 2017 colour of the year?!
Doesn’t it just make you want to repaint something green? You don’t need to be as bold as our bathroom door, you can go with a nice soft green, like “>PARA’s Guest List that we used in the “>guest room. It’s just three down the colour wheel from Guest of Honour, the colour from the bathroom door.
Or maybe you can add some funky wallpaper? I totally drooled over this one from Wayfair before I decided on the black and white toile.
One of the ‘green’ plans I’ve got for our house this year is to add more plants and greenery. I have been crushing on this DIY plant stand Becki made over at The Uncommon Common Law and think one or two are in my future. Be sure to click through to check it, it’s super cute.
I’ve even debated some cacti. I mean, how cute are these little pots of pretty from my favourite local floral shop?
What about you? How do you think you’ll add more green to your life in 2017?
Apartment Therapy has a great little colour spotlight on Kelly Green with this idea board, worth checking out if you’re in need of some inspiration.
