Lilacs and other loves lately…

This time of year is one of my favourites.  It’s lilac season.  Their scent is …. perfect.  It also reminds me of having tea parties with my Nana in her back yard.  The lilac bush in her yard was GIGANTIC.

I fill the rooms in our house with fresh bundles every couple of days until they sadly decide it’s time to go for another year.

Having them in the bathroom is the best kind of ‘natural’ scent a bathroom could have:)

Having them at the kitchen sink doing dishes is just delightful.

…and enjoying their scent, a beautiful breeze, and a great book on my FABULOUS wing chairs is too much awesome.

Ya. Pretty fabulous eh?! Check out the entire amazing adventure these chairs have been on since 1975 over at Style at Home.

Another love this time of year is the fresh rhubarb from the garden. Mostly because I just make batch after batch of Rhubarb Cinnamon muffins until there is no more rhubarb. They contain a healthy dose of sour cream. Mmmmm sour cream.

And finally, a new love…. I discovered this delightful gin a few months ago. Locally brewed in small batches, it has a flavour unlike any I’ve ever tasted before. And this Elderflower pressé is the perfect compliment!

Three cheers for Spring!

Love this! You have celebrated signs of Spring including lilacs, rhubarb and gin. Show knew! I love your idea of placing lilacs in different rooms throughout the house to use as a natural freshener. Your different vignettes are gorgeous!
