Beautiful blue door & home office update

Do you ever wake up and decide to immediately change something in your home? I do. All the time. This happened last Saturday when I painted DH’s office door blue. A beautiful blue.

It looks ah-mazing! Such a simple task with dramatic results. I sanded the door down, cleaned it, gave it two good coats of paint, and BOOM fabulous.

Another thing I tend to do is move furniture around the house. Since the last home office re-fresh, I have swapped the vintage chair (it’s now in the living room) with a black armchair (which was in the living room), and we brought our old harvest table (which was in the dining room) upstairs to function as a much bigger desk.

DH runs the ‘office’ part of his business from this room, so having lots of workspace is crucial. He also uses it as his winter training room…can you see the big black blob beside the armchair? That’s a rubber floor mat folded back over his Wahoo Kickr (a cycling trainer).

I love how the blue door and red curtains work with the area rug.  Which has got me inspired to paint more doors.  Would you paint a door a bold colour?
